CONNECTING WITHIN: Listen
Welcome to an extended exploration of ‘Listen’ from my Self-Discovery Inspirational Cards deck. Last week in the live video (which you can view here) we took a moment to stop and listen to our inner voice.
Listen - Take the time to listen within.
Today this card is prompting us to take some time in stillness and quiet to connect to our body, mind and spirit. In this quiet allow any feelings to arise and acknowledge what comes up for you.
Do not feel like you need to understand, or clearly see/know. Just take a moment to connect to your inner voice and heart and allow your inner being to communicate.
If you are like me and have been avoiding doing this, finding yourself repeating unhelpful patterns of late in an attempt to delay this connection, it is perhaps even more important that you set aside a few minutes of quiet time with the intention of listening and connecting to yourself, whilst holding the intention to let go of any barriers or walls you may have unconsciously erected.
I feel prompted to share this with you, as I did briefly in the video last week, as sometimes we may go through a period of resistance to change or the cycle that is ready to begin, and in doing so we can close off the connection to our-self and what needs to be done, in my case to let-go and allow the next phase.
Fear can often be a barrier with this card and message. Fear of being alone with your thoughts and feelings, if this is the case for you, acknowledge this fear and work towards spending this time in stillness with yourself at a gentle pace that you feel comfortable with.
You may find that if you choose to work towards listening within, that you may move beyond the fear more effortlessly than you may have thought, having made the conscious choice to sit and listen within.
